Audio in Media

  • Admission Requirements:
  • Applicants must have high school graduation with most recent transcripts, and be at least 18 years of age.
  • A 300-word essay detailing your interests, goals, experience, and inspiration regarding your chosen career.
  • Most current resume with cover-letter.
  • All applicants require a personal interview with the head administrator either in person or on the phone.
  • Music and or recording experience is strongly recommended.
  • A personality suited for an extremely challenging career and the ability to work well with others.
  • Tuition Information:

The total tuition is $8,400.00 CAD (material included) and is due on the first day of class unless prior financial arrangements have been made (Canadian Student Loan/Third party funding). Due to our limited class size and the high interest in our programme; seats will be held for applicants for a period of three weeks commencing on the date of acceptance. After which, accepted applicants are required to confirm their seats by making an instalment of $1,000.00 which is deducted from the total tuition (this amount includes a $100.00 non-refundable registration fee). Unconfirmed seats will be made available to other potential applicants. Mid-Ocean School of Media Arts is registered as a private vocational institution under The Private Vocational Institutions Act.

  • Application/Enrolment Procedure:
  • Applicant completes an application package for the Audio in Media Programme. Please note applications are reviewed on an on-going basis. Due to high demand and limited seats, applicants are encouraged to submit application packages at least 2 months prior to applicable programme start date.
  • After review of the application, a letter will be sent out to schedule an interview.
  • After the interview, the applicant will be notified by mail regarding the status of their application.
  • Upon acceptance, the future student is required to make a $1,000.00 instalment within a specified time frame to hold their seat in the upcoming course.


Part Time

Intro to MTR | Intro to ProTools | Music with Reason
  • Admission Requirements:
  • No interview required
  • Intro To Multi-Track Recording - No experience required
  • Inro to Pro Tools - Previous experience recommended
  • Music with Reason - A strong musical interest recommended
  • The ability to work well with others

  • Tuition Information:

The total tuition is $795.00 CAD all inclusive. An instalment of $250.00 is required in order to reserve your seat with the remaining balance of $545.00 due on or before the first class.

  • Registration/Enrolment Procedure:
  • Interested individual completes the appropriate registration form and submits to our administration office with required $250.00 instalment. Please contact us or check start dates on our website for course availability.
  • Upon reception of completed registration form and instalment a seat will be reserved.
