Teaching Methods

Our methods of teaching the practical craft of audio production have been developed over many years, providing our graduates with the skills required to participate in this rapidly evolving field.

Through our Audio in Media programme we provide a learning environment that reflects the “real world” by guiding students through a number of initial projects while they study the theories of audio production and then spend the last month of the programme completing recording sessions on their own. During this time students use the latest in professional audio equipment, a variety of resource material, and are given the opportunity to meet and work with numerous local musicians, producers, and engineers. Our programme is a six month intensive, and practical learning experience designed to provide graduates with the vocabulary, primary technical skills and concepts for a wide range of entry level positions in the audio production field.
